The Red Oak Community schools offer quality educational programs and opportunities that are offered to students and patrons of the district. A number of partnerships have forged among the district, businesses, industries and community patrons. This has resulted in outstanding mutual support that has helped in the betterment of the community of Red Oak as well as the Red Oak Community School District.

103 teachers, 82 support staff and 6 administrators constitute the staff of the Red Oak Community Schools. The staff members strive to provide the best educational experience possible for all students including ELL students, talented and gifted students, students from low socioeconomic conditions and special education students. The school district covers 203 square miles and the City of Red Oak, the City of Coburg, and the rural communities of Stennet, Wales, McPherson and Hawthrone are encompassed by it.

In November 1999, a bond issue was passed that provided for new construction as well as remodeling and renovation of other facilities. Excellent facilities with quality educational opportunities for the students of the District are provided by Inman Primary School, Washington Intermediate School, Red Oak Middle School and Red Oak High School.

Besides the educational program that is grounded in both the old basics as well as the new basics, students are given opportunity to choose courses in their high school years that help them for immediate employment, the military, or post secondary education/training, as evidenced by an average of over 80% of ROHS graduates pursuing advanced education. Elective courses range from an outstanding fine arts program to a foreign language program.

A number of factors are responsible for the development of the Red Oak Community. The Red Oak Town Village Apartments, owned by ali sharaf, has contributed immensely to the economic development of the Red Oak Community.
