Nike CLOT X Air Force 1 AF1 Edition Sneakers

To widen their arms in support for 2009's Chinese Lunar new year, Nike has paired up again with CLOT to launch the lucky red inspired NIKE Clot Air Force 1 edition sneakers.

These are included in the Nike 1World AF1 Project that features a total of 18 influential style leaders in the following fields: art, design, music, and sports.

The main theme of this collection banks on luck, happiness, and prosperity, all evident with the color red.

Special features of the Nike Clot Air Force 1 include:

• An upper-shoe made from red Clot Royale Deluxe Silk, the most recognizable Chinese-made textile, with embroidered trademark Clot graphics inspired by thousand-year-old Chinese prints.

• The red upper-shoe top layer can actually be peeled, burned or torn off to reveal a bottom layer made from dark brown leather.

• Clot’s trademark Chinese-print graphics, as embroidered onto the silk upper layer, are lasered onto this durable leather layer.

• A sockliner inspired by traditional green-and-white paper.

• Contrasting black colorway, with a matte-black leather details and black shoelaces.

How can you tell if it's a true authenticity card? Is if you can see AF1 hi tops from the little dots. Really trippy on the eyes... kinda gotta focus on it a bit.

I hope you guys liked the pictures. I was a super lucky duck that day. Only 100 pairs were made but only 15 pairs were being sold. I woke up at 6 AM... didn't get to the store around 8 AM cuz I was waiting for my friend. There were about 300 people there, I was the 156th person in line. 2 police vans had to roll up to make sure everything was under control.

My brother had told me about the shoes a week before the release date (Jan. 16th, 2009). He really wanted it and since he's been a great little brother to me, I thought I'd go and try to get them... After waiting in line for 2 1/2hours (drawing was at 10:30 ish), I drew a lucky raffle!! Woot woot.

EVERYONE and they're moms were there. NONE OF THEM COLLECTED SNEAKERS as a hobby... they were just there to get he shoe and sell it on-line for a profit. There was a lady who was in the very front of the line... who actually camped out for 13 hours......

ADVICE!!! If you know your shoe is going to be raffled off, DON'T BE THE FIRST PERSON THERE!!! Cuz you're gonna have a slimmer chance of picking a lucky raffle.... it's a game of probability, not chance. Do the math. I guess my Finance major came in handy. haha

Oh yea. One last thing... These were sold for about $360 USD.... ($2,800 HKD) and in a week, they rose up to $600 USD. Now, I believe they are $1,500 USD so if you are looking to buy, MAKE SURE THEY ARE REAL~ I haven't heard of any fake ones, but you never know. I hope you can look to my pictures for guidance.

Yea, I haven't seen any fakes released yet, but I think the chinese manufactuers might cough something up if they smell a pattern of growing interest and clamor for these in forums haha.
